Confident coding in Year 3!

27th June 2018

On Wednesday 27th June, Year 3 had a computing session on coding. Some of the year group love coding especially Minecraft, so this fitted in well with our When I Grow Up week, as we could explore a different app and look at different ways of coding.

We used the Lightbot app to write an algorithm for a robot to reach different boxes and turn the light on. We had to use quite a complicated system where we looked at patterns of code and programmed them into the algorithm. Some of us had to use trial and error and keep running the program  but we got there in the end! We really enjoyed exploring the app and we are going to use it in our classrooms so that we can have lots of practise.
