The Big Bang North West 2018.

11th July 2018
On Tuesday 10th July, Year 5 and 6 were enthralled by a plethora of science exhibitors at The Big Bang North West 2018.  Children made slime, they performed CPR, they watched a piece of blue tac turn into a nail and a banana turn into a hammer using dry ice, they took part in ‘beat the robotic arm goalie’ and they questioned inspiring engineers, scientists and technologists from all walks of industry. These were just some of the activities! There was something for everyone.
By the end of the day, the children were most definitely wowed by the range of science and engineering activities and many walked away inspired to take part in more science, technology and maths initiatives. Hopefully the day has also got the children questioning their career options for their future.
Year 5 and 6 had a brilliant day and many commented that it was one of the best trips that they had been on at Longmoor. Hopefully we can go back next year.
