Longmoor Choir performs at Christmas Celebration

23rd December 2016

Our newly-formed choir performed at Archbishop Beck’s Christmas Celebration last night. Led by their choir director, Mrs. Newton, they were the ‘9th Day of Christmas’ and sang ‘Walking Through the Air’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’ beautifully, wowing the audience with their professionalism and superb voices. We were kindly allowed to sit ‘back stage’ to watch the rest of the concert and all our pupils were praised by many parents and members of staff for sitting and watching the concert so sensibly. We were the only primary school to perform and were at the centre of the finale, singing and dancing to ‘12 Days of Christmas’ with some of Archbishop Beck’s Year 8 dancers. All choir members who sang received their treble clef gold pins from Mrs. Grundy as a special memory of their first public performance.

All of us at Longmoor are extremely proud of the choir and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow as a group and perform at the Peace Proms in the New Year!
