Barnstondale

6th July 2016

Well, we’re back! I really hope that all the children that visited Barnstondale had a great time – I know all the staff did. I just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to Mrs. Astbury, Mrs. Hamilton, Mrs. Molyneux, Miss Monaghan and Mr. Rawlings for all their help and support over the past three days; this trip wouldn’t have been possible without them.

Also, I would to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all the children. Their behaviour was impeccable; their manners were superb and their collective sense of humour has kept us thoroughly entertained. By the way, I’ve never seen a group of boys so obsessed with their hair!

We’ve been covered in mud, watched nervous children challenge themselves to abseil and rock climb, toasted marshmallows around a camp fire and, of course, played lots of football.

I’ve never been lucky enough to teach this year’s Year 6 but feel really lucky to have joined them on this trip, which I’m sure will leave them with many fond memories of their time with us here at Longmoor.

Lots of pictures to follow.

Thanks for a great time year 6!

From a very tired Mr. Garside.
