Christmas Jumpers and Christmas Cinema!

19th December 2016

What a busy day Friday was! Reception through to Year 6 boarded buses wearing their Christmas themed outfits to visit the Odeon, Switch Island for our annual Christmas Cinema visit. Reception to Year 3 enjoyed ‘The BFG’ and Years 4-6 watched ‘The Jungle Book’. School subsided the ticket costs and Friends of Longmoor paid for transport and a drink and pack of sweets for every child so we could all enjoy a memorable outing together. The children were exceptionally well-behaved and throughly enthralled by the films they saw. Nursery weren’t forgotten about either – they had their annual ‘Magicial Magician’ visit on Thursday.

Thanks also to parents, teachers and pupils for supporting our Christmas Jumper day, sending in £1 for charity and wearing a colourful, creative, flashing-light-laden and downright dazzling collection of jumpers, headgear and other Christmas attire! Through your generosity we raised £260.36 for Save the Children.

We ended Friday with our weekly Celebration Assembly, where our pupils received their class certificates and other awards. Check out the award-winners and their Christmas outfits below!

Well done to our Year 6 children on successfully completing ‘The Primary Maths Challenge’
