Year 3 visits Crosby Beach

21st July 2016

On Thursday 14th July, Year 3 went to Crosby beach to see the work of artist Antony Gormley. We have been studying the work of Antony Gormley and his most local work is called ‘Another Place’. Whist on the beach the children studied the statues and created sketches of them. We also walked along the beach collecting shells and looking at the statues as we went. After a very sandy lunch we had a game of rounders and some relay races on the beach to prepare for our Sports Day. We were really happy that the weather held off and we even had a touch of sun throughout the day! It was a fantastic day and the we really enjoyed it!
