Festive Fun for our Choir!

19th December 2016

Our fantastic choir have been extremely busy over the festive season, signing their hearts out to fill everyone with Christmas spirit!

They made their debut during the interval at the Reception Christmas play, where they moved Mrs. Grundy and many others to tears with their beautiful performance of ‘Walking in the Air’. They performed just as amazingly at the Key Stage 1 plays later in the week, where some of our choir members bravely performed solos. Many parents came to watch and were thrilled to see how professional they were!

We also thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Grace Lodge Nursing Home, where the staff and residents were extremely welcoming and generous. They were a fantastic audience to have and after our performance, they very kindly presented us with individually wrapped packets of sweets.

Some of our choir were given extra special gifts for their excellent contribution to our performance. Charlie received a beautiful, hand crafted ‘candle’, Angel received a jingly Santa hat hairband and, most special of all, Lily-Mae received a hand painted snowman plate, given to her for performing such a beautiful solo. Lily-Mae is very kindly writing a letter of thanks of behalf of the choir, to tell everyone at Grace Lodge Nursing Home just how grateful we are that they let us perform for them! Look out for a photo of Lily-Mae with her plate and a copy of the letter to follow! They have been so kind as to invited back to perform again in Spring and we can’t wait!

We will be finishing off the Christmas season with our first public performance at Archbishop Beck’s Christmas Celebration.
