Formby beach and woods

22nd June 2017

On Thursday 22nd June we went to Formby woods and beach. We were very lucky that the weather cooled down for us and it didn’t rain! We started at the woods looking for different minibeasts. We looked in different habitats – under branches, under leaves, on trees, under benches and in hedges. We found centipedes, spiders, woodlice, snails, ladybirds, butterflies, honeybees – and we even saw one red squirrel! After lunch, we went to the beach and looked at features of the seaside then we had a play on the sand. We walked back up the sand dunes which was hard as we were very tired and some of us fell asleep on the bus! We had a great time!
