Healthy Eating!

This week, we’re learning all about healthy eating.  This is part of our Design and Technology work, so the children talked about aspects of food safety, such as washing hands before preparing food, wearing chef hats and aprons and handling equipment safely.  We tasted lots of healthy fruit and vegetables, including celery, strawberries, cauliflower, cabbage, (raw!) onion, carrots and even dragon fruit!  The children all made coleslaw, chopping up the cabbage themselves, and eating it at the end.  Please ask your child about the foods they tasted, and maybe ask them to show you how to make coleslaw at home!
