Lukaku visits Longmoor!

11th February 2016

Longmoor children were so excited today to receive a visit from top Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku, as part of the Football League’s Kick it Out campaign against racism. Class 6Y interviewed Romelu about his family background, his time at Everton and why he supports the Kick it Out campaign. They also designed posters for Everton’s match day programme.

“I always enjoy taking the opportunity to work with Kick It Out to help promote the work they do,” said the Blues striker. “The children I met were fantastic – they were really interested in listening to what I had to say and asked some really intelligent questions.

“Visits like this are so important because we can educate the pupils on some important messages and help to broaden their horizons and educate them on different cultures and countries. I had a fun afternoon and I always feel like I take away as much from sessions as the children do as they inspire me with their ideas and suggestions.”
