North Liverpool Arts Festival - Longmoor shines!

1st August 2016

Pupils from Longmoor have made an outstanding contribution to the North Liverpool Arts Festival, hosted by Archbishop Beck Secondary School recently. The whole event was a fantastic opportunity for locals to enjoy the talent and hard work of schools and local organisations. Our Year 6 pupils produced large-scale willow artwork which was displayed in the school’s main foyer – the Longmoor Lion is now proudly roaring in our school grounds! Our talented musicians, who have only been learning their instruments since October, performed in a combined band of pupils from Longmoor, Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis de Sales. They looked and sounded like true professionals. Our newly-formed choir carried out their first public performance with hardly a nerve and oodles of verve!

We would like to offer a special mention to Lucy and Ro who introduced the band and choir. Well done girls.

As a school we would like to thank everybody involved at Archbishop Beck for giving us this wonderful opportunity and would also like to offer our congratulations to our fellow musicians from Blessed Sacrament and St. Francis de Sales. We look forward to working with you all again.

We also want to thank the families and friends of our pupils who have supported them throughout this year and who came on Saturday to cheer us on. It was a privilege to perform for you.

Our last mention goes to our artists, talented singers and musicians. Congratulations on a successful day and successful year. We hope you keep on persevering for years to come and that you have enjoyed your experiences so far.
