Readathon 2017

26th June 2017

For the next two weeks, children at Longmoor will be reading to raise money for the wonderful charity Readathon. Money raised will go to give books and storyteller visits to children in hospitals including Alder Hey. Children are able to read whatever they like from comics, poetry and audiobooks – anything goes!

For every £100 raised 20% will be given back to the school to buy new books for our fantastic library. It’s easy to do; just ask friends and family to sponsor your child to read a book, a chapter or a page a day and to pay by cheque or cash or online on www.readathon.org/sponsor.

So make sure you take your sponsorship form home and get all your sponsorship money in by Friday 7th July to find out who has raised the most money to be in with a chance of winning a £5 National Book voucher.
