Spread A Little Kindness 2019

22nd March 2019

During the last two weeks our fabulous Year Ones have been working with North Liverpool Food Bank Trust.

We have been collecting food for the trust who create an emergency three day supply of food for people who are less fortunate than ourselves.

After collecting the food the Year One team were overwhelmed by the generosity of our classes.

On Thursday, Simon who is the manager of the food bank visited the school to see the children and collect the donations that we have raised.  He talked to the Key Stage One children about the work he does and where the food that is donated will be stored and eventually sent out to all the people who need it.  We had a large trolley full of food and we were all glad that Simon brought his van to collect all of it.

He was so impressed and grateful by the amount of food one year group collected. We were told that this food will go a long way to help local families. We hope to work with the Food-bank in the future and continue to make a difference to the local community.
