Week 24th- 28th April 2017

27th April 2017
  • Welcome back! We hope you had a relaxing half term. The children have been sharing their news about all the exciting activities they have been doing. Thank you to all the parent/carers that wrote some news in the blue home link books as it was a brilliant prompt during chatty time.

This week we have been discussing how we grow. We measured how tall all the children were on our growing tree. We will be revisiting the growing tree in July to see if the children have grown anymore. The children have also been doing some observational drawings of our African Land Snails and because they only move very slowly they managed to capture them perfectly before they got away!

This term we will be revisiting identifying 2D shapes with the children, so when you are out and about see how many different 2D shapes within objects you can spot. If your child brings in a list of 20 objects that you have spotted then your child will receive a sticker!

Our new prams arrived this week so the children have been very busy pushing babies them around the nursery both indoors and outdoors. As mentioned in the newsletter if you have a baby and would be willing to come into nursery and show the children how you bath, dress and feed them we would be most grateful.

We are creating a then and now display showing the children how they have grown, so we would appreciate a baby photograph of your child for our display.

    RECEPTION PLACES

Thank you to all the parent/carers that have returned their acceptance form for their reception place. We are delighted that you have chosen to continue your child’s learning experience with us! We will be hosting a Reception Open Evening for all new parents on Tuesday, 11th July 2017 at 4.15pm. You will receive a letter shortly explaining more details.

REMINDER: NURSERY WILL CLOSED ON BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY AND THURSDAY FOR POLLING DAY
