Years 5 & 6 Fire Service & Armed Police Visit

As part of our ‘When I Grow Up’ week, children from Year 5 and 6 welcomed a visit from Merseyside Fire & Rescue, who brought along their Fire Engine, and Armed Officers from Merseyside Police! They discussed their careers, what made them want to join the Emergency Services, what skills and traits (such as perseverance and resilience) are necessary and how they help members of the public.

Both visits were inspiring to our children, who asked some very sensible and thought-provoking questions.
